05 Aug A Mothers Creed
Motherhood comes with different experiences for each of us, but one thing that is common to all is that we certainly get to choose how it plays out.
I am in another phase of motherhood, the teens phase, with teen girls and my gosh I have more drama in my life these days than I bargained for. These days I have to contend with young ladies and their idiosyncrasies, what was an easy task to execute years back can get so complicated. Each child is developing into a distinct individual with personal identity, hence the need to take into consideration each person’s dispositions.
It is worth noting that it is not easier if they are boys or girls, the strategy you apply at this stage is what’s most important.
I have heard and read from several quarters the need for the 21st century parent to be creative as well as versatile.
Sometimes when I get to consider this whole mummy business and all the drama that can come with it, I get to encourage myself along these lines; “Don’t worry—I am with you. Don’t be afraid—I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will support you with my right hand that brings victory.”
Isaiah 41:10 ERV.
I am resolute in doing a great job.
